Giving to Mount Sinai Queens
We Are Proud to be Your Community Hospital
As a not-for-profit hospital, we depend on your financial support. All tax-deductible gifts are reinvested directly back into Mount Sinai Queens. Contributions help us expand programs, upgrade our facilities in Queens and pursue our dreams and plans for a new building with expanded services.
We know that Queens has lost hospitals in recent years and the ones that remain are taking care of growing numbers of patients in need of more sophisticated care. We’ve already responded by upgrading equipment, investing in programs targeted to the health needs of western Queens and expanding electronic record keeping in ways that improve patient care.
Now, we need your help. Your contributions support Mount Sinai Queens’ commitment to being the best community hospital we can be for you and your neighbors – and can help us build a facility that matches the excellence of our medical team. We can’t do it without you.
There are several ways to give:

About Mount Sinai Queens
Mount Sinai Queens is dedicated to providing excellent medical care to all the communities we serve in Queens. Since becoming part of the prestigious Mount Sinai Health System in 1999, we’ve worked hard to remake our hospital. The outside of our building may look the same, but we’re a different hospital inside. There, you’ll find a medical team dedicated to excellence. Our doctors provide highly skilled diagnoses and treatment in specialties ranging from cardiology, orthopaedics and spine surgery, to breast health and stroke prevention. As the only Stroke Center in Queens certified by the Joint Commission of Accreditation – the gold standard in healthcare – we bring the highest quality of stroke care to you and your loved ones.
You’ll see a nursing staff that is always on the move, continuously checking on patients’ conditions day and night – and their comfort level.
And you’ll encounter a spirit of friendliness that helps to set us apart. Our patients get to know staff that work as a team and understand the different cultural and language needs of our diverse community. Whether a patient needs a translator or help fitting Greek, Indian or Asian food into a new medical diet, our staff want to help.
As a community hospital, many patients enter our hospital through the Emergency Department. Ambulances answering most 911 calls in Astoria, Long Island City and parts of Sunnyside drive straight to Mount Sinai Queens. Last year, our busy emergency department treated over 50,000 patients. We see patients from all across the borough and beyond – whether you live or work in Long Island City, Elmhurst, Flushing or Forest Hills, we’re here to serve you.
We believe that a community hospital must reach beyond its walls. So, in addition to the many physician practices throughout Queens affiliated with our hospital, we provide a variety of screening and health education programs for the community, visiting senior centers, houses of worship and health fairs. These services are completely free and focus on, for example, hypertension, nutrition and skin cancer. Our educational talks and workshops cover a variety of topics including yoga classes. We want to help you stay healthy.
